Shadow Roll Mantel

Non-Combustible Fireplace Mantel Shelf

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS:

Our Shadow Roll Stone Fence mantel celebrates the iconic dry-laid stone fences of the Bluegrass region, built by skilled masons in the 18th and 19th centuries using ancient techniques passed down from their Scotch-Irish ancestors.  Molded from stones uncovered at a farm in Maysville, Kentucky, this mantel is a carefully crafted replica that authentically captures the look and character of the original stonework, honoring the heritage of the Bluegrass region.

FAUX STONE:

Although our Shadow Roll fireplace mantel shelves appear to be actual limestone, they are actually made from our patented casting formulation. Every concrete mantel shelf is hand-cast, and hand-painted by incredible coloring artists to reproduce the natural patina and color nuances acquired with exposure to the elements over time. With every Lexington Hearth Shadow Roll Mantel Shelf, you get the beauty of natural stone without excess weight. We call that “NATURE…Re-created!”

COLOR:

Mantel shelves are hand-painted and will have minor variances in color and highlights.

  • Tundra:

The Tundra color option showcases the color profile most commonly found in Kentucky limestone. The stones show a range of cool greys, from light silver to deep graphite. The lighter greys add brightness and reveal texture, while the darker greys add depth and create natural shadows across the surface. Together, these variations create a balanced, neutral character that complements both rustic and refined settings.

  • Flagstone:

The Flagstone multi-color option features a rich palette of natural stone colors, ranging from pale-grey taupe and creamy beige, to muted rose and deep reddish-brown.  This spectrum of organic colors offers depth and contrast and reflects the diverse looks limestone can naturally take.

  • Canyon:

The Canyon color option offers a nuanced spectrum of sandstone tan, reddish umber, pale beige, and olive brown.  The subtle variations of shade and tone in each color accentuate the sculpted texture of the stones, defining crevices and edges, and echoing the layered hues of weathered canyon walls.
