Frequently Asked Questions

  • 🧱 Product & Material

    What is a non-combustible mantel?

Our high-definition Burncrete is a patented non-combustible casting formulation, that authentically replicates the rich wood grain and character details of antique wood. Each Lexington Hearth mantel is meticulously hand-painted, by talented coloring artists, to capture the natural weathered character and color nuances acquired with long-term exposure to the elements over the years. The result is the realistic look of an antique mantel suitable for fireplace designs requiring non-combustible materials. This makes it safer and more code-compliant than wood in many installations.

Why choose a non-combustible mantel over a wood mantel?

    • Fire safety: No risk of ignition from heat.

    • Code compliance: Often required when clearances to the firebox are too tight for wood.

    • Design flexibility: Molded options can mimic stone, woodgrain, or concrete.

Is your mantel certified or tested to meet safety standards?

Yes, our mantels are certified to meet non-combustibility and thermal performance standards.
