Tucked behind the main house, past the garden gate and the worn path of generations, the Kentucky smokehouse was never showy—but it was essential. Our Smokehouse Non-Combustible mantel is fashioned from timbers that could have been recovered from an old Kentucky barn.
The Smokehouse mantel is molded directly from a 10” x 5” barn timber to authentically reproduce the beautiful seasoning imparted to the wood over time. The honest irregularities. The hand-hewn facets where an adze once bit. The checks and splits that only time can write. This mantel is our tribute to that everyday Kentucky heritage: modest, hardworking, and deeply beautiful.
Lexington Hearth products are individually hand-cast and hand-painted products and will have minor variances in color, weight, and final dimensions.

This non-combustible mantel is a faithful recreation of a hand-hewn timber imagined to be reclaimed from an old Kentucky smokehouse.

Molded in our non-flammable Burncrete™ material, the Smokehouse Mantel captures deep wood grain, hand-hewn tool marks, subtle surface variation, and naturally occurring checks and splits—details that reflect the honest wear of time and use.
